The Church of What's Happening Here.

Hello and welcome to my blog! This blog is dedicated to the romantics,(I am not talking cheesy love stories and knights in shining armor), the people who find they get closer to themselves or some form of understanding when submersed in pure nature. Obviously now a days that is hard, even in national parks you are bound to come across another human at some point. Is your experience ruined? Probably not, unless you are really gung ho about it.

As well as the romantic experience, I was inspired to write this blog because I have just moved to a new location: beautiful, friendly New Zealand. While it may be a joy to live here, I have experienced a gloom that I also experienced when I moved to California last year: I am alone. I do have some family and have in the past as well, but when you move to a place that your family already had settled in, they live their own lives and expect you to settle relatively quickly and get out of their hair. If you're anything like me, the club scene and getting drunk and meeting people in the bedroom might not be your piece of cake. It takes time to settle in and meet and make good friends! There's nothing wrong with that, but to eliminate some of the gloom I have decided to start hiking. If there's not people you can meet or can think to meet instantly, it's a new place, so get to know the land. Luckily in New Zealand, there's nothing wrong with taking a hike alone. The worst you have to fear is the sea cliffs or yourself. In California it was a different story, it was tricky to hike there because in the canyons weird men lurked or snakes in the desert. In Colorado where I was originally, there was freezing conditions, mountain lions, bears, but in New Zealand there really are no threats.

Sometimes you just have to bond with the land before you bond with the people. If you're a socialite then you won't mind the clubs, but if you're looking on this blog for help finding hot spots to meet and greet, sadly this isn't the place. If you just want to see where cool places to hike are, then here we go! Ill take you around New Zealand on my journeys hopefully to inspire people to get out there and have their own romantic experience or at least just see something new.

Come in to the church of what's happening here and get preached by Mother Nature!!
